Olymp Trade Privacy Policy

About this Privacy Policy

Olymp Trade understands that personal information matters to users and takes data protection seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how Olymptrade collects, uses, and protects user data across the platform’s websites, mobile applications, and other services.

This Privacy Policy is part of the Service Agreement between Olymp Trade and its users.

Users should read this policy before using the platform. Continued use of Olymptrade services means acceptance of these privacy terms, including any updates made to them over time.

Some data categories must be stored even after account deletion because laws and regulations require it.

Leaderboards

Users who appear on Olymp Trade leaderboards agree to share some trading data publicly. This includes the username (or User ID if no name is set), country flag, profile photo if uploaded, leaderboard position, online status, experience points, and total winnings.

Trading data visible on leaderboards includes the ROI metric (percentage of successful trades over the last 7 days), plus the asset, direction, and duration of trades so other users can copy them. The actual trade amounts stay private and never appear on leaderboards. Only the ROI percentage matters for leaderboard rankings.

Users can change privacy settings anytime by going to Settings > Privacy to make trading activity completely private and remove themselves from leaderboards.

Cookies and tracking technologies Olymptrade use

Olymp Trade and its partners use cookies when users visit the website or access platform services. Cookies are small data files stored on devices that help the website remember preferences, enable features, and track how users navigate the site. They also help show relevant advertisements and collect usage statistics.

The platform uses three types of cookies. Session cookies exist only during a browsing session and disappear when the browser closes. Persistent cookies stay on devices for a set period and help the platform remember users on return visits, like saving login preferences. Third-party cookies come from external services that run analytics or other tools on Olymptrade pages.

Cookies don’t contain personally identifiable information by themselves, but Olymp Trade may link cookie data to user account information. Users can delete cookies through device settings, though disabling them might limit some platform features or reduce the browsing experience.

Data sharing with third parties

Olymp Trade does not sell or rent user information to third parties. The platform shares personal data only in specific situations described in this policy.

User information may be shared with Olymptrade subsidiaries and affiliated companies. The platform also shares data with trusted service providers for these purposes:

Olymp Trade may disclose user information when legally required or when there’s a reasonable need to comply with laws, enforce platform policies, investigate fraud or illegal activities, defend against legal claims, or prevent harm to users and the platform itself. This includes sharing data with enforcement agencies, responding to government requests, and monitoring transactions to prevent money laundering and fraud.

Third-party service providers who receive user data must protect it according to the same standards outlined in this privacy policy.

Information collection by third-party services

This privacy policy covers only how Olymp Trade collects and uses information. When users click links to external websites or applications through Olymptrade services, those third parties have their own data collection rules and privacy policies.

Third-party websites and services may collect user information differently than the platform does. Some external sites might contain illegal content, misleading information, or material that users find offensive. Olymp Trade does not recommend or endorse third-party websites just because a link exists on the platform.

Users should read the terms, conditions, and privacy policies of any external website or service before using them. The platform has no responsibility for third-party products, services, or how those sites handle user data. Users accept all risks when they choose to interact with external websites or applications through links on Olymp Trade.

The platform uses Google Analytics to track how users interact with services, including visit frequency and page views. Google Analytics collects IP addresses but not names or other personally identifying information. Olymptrade does not combine Google Analytics data with user account information. Google’s use of this data follows the Google Analytics Terms of Use and Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising on Olymptrade platform

Olymp Trade uses advertising technology to show ads to users, including targeted advertisements based on platform activity. The platform may share non-personal information with third-party advertising partners to measure campaign performance and retarget users who previously visited the site.

Users can opt out of many third-party advertising networks through the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) or Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA). More information about opting out of these ad networks is available at www.networkadvertising.org/optout_nonppii.asp and www.aboutads.info/choices.

How to delete or update personal data

Users can request corrections to inaccurate personal information at any time by emailing [email protected]. The same email address handles requests to delete account data, though Olymp Trade must keep transaction history and other records required by law.

Requests for data deletion or updates can be sent in any format (email text, scanned letter, etc.) to [email protected]. Include full name and contact information to speed up processing. Olymptrade may ask for additional verification before processing requests if there’s doubt about the requester’s identity.

The platform automatically deletes personal data when there’s no longer a legitimate reason to keep it or when legal requirements no longer apply. Unless users request otherwise, Olymp Trade keeps collected information for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations (up to 7 years), handle disputes, and enforce agreements. The platform may fix, add to, or remove incomplete or incorrect information at any time.

Security and data protection measures

Olymp Trade uses industry-standard security procedures to protect user information and prevent unauthorized access. The platform maintains security protocols across all services to keep user data safe.

While Olymptrade takes all reasonable precautions to secure information, the platform cannot guarantee protection against unauthorized access or service abuse. No warranty exists that security breaches will never happen.

Users who believe their privacy was violated or who notice suspicious activity on the platform should contact [email protected] directly.

Marketing

Olymp Trade may use personal information like names, email addresses, and phone numbers to send promotional materials about platform services, partner products, and affiliate offers that might interest users. The platform may handle this directly or through third-party marketing contractors.

Personal information might be shared with business partners and marketing affiliates so they can send relevant offers to users.

Users can decline marketing communications at any time. To unsubscribe from promotional emails, send a message with the word “remove” to [email protected]. After unsubscribing, the email address gets removed from Olymptrade marketing lists and from any lists shared with marketing affiliates. Users may need to unsubscribe separately from affiliate marketing. Even after opting out of promotional emails, the platform will still send service-related updates and account notifications.

By downloading, installing, or accessing Olymp Trade services, users agree that their personal information may be shared with trusted partners and marketing affiliates for direct marketing purposes.

WhatsApp communication policy

Users who check the consent box agree to receive messages from Olymp Trade via WhatsApp. These messages include both service-related information and marketing content.

To stop receiving WhatsApp messages from Olymptrade, send an email with the words “opt-out WhatsApp” to [email protected]. After opting out, the platform cannot send any WhatsApp messages, including both promotional materials and important service updates.

Data transfer in case of corporate changes

If Olymp Trade goes through a corporate transaction like a merger, business sale, database migration, or asset transfer, user information (including personal data) may be shared with the acquiring company. The new owner would then follow the same privacy obligations described in this policy.

Account deletion and restoration process

Users can delete their Olymptrade account through the Android or iOS mobile app interface, or by emailing the words “delete account” to [email protected].

Laws and regulations prevent the platform from deleting all personal data immediately. After account deletion, Olymp Trade keeps certain information to comply with legal requirements and prevent fraud, platform manipulation, and other dishonest behavior. The platform will minimize and anonymize stored data where possible. Marketing and advertising uses of personal data stop completely once an account gets deleted. In very rare situations, the platform might contact a user after deletion if legally required, such as during a dispute.

Account restoration requests can be sent by emailing “restore account” to [email protected] or through other communication channels. Some accounts cannot be restored, particularly those terminated for policy violations or deleted beyond a certain time period. Contact [email protected] for specific cases.

Privacy Policy updates

Olymp Trade may change this Privacy Policy at any time. The most current version always appears on the platform website. Users should check this policy regularly to stay informed about updates.
